Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Rabbit Breeding Calculator app ("the app") collects, why, and what we do with it. We collect only what the app needs to work.

Information we collect

To create and use an account, we collect:

• Your email address — used to sign you in and to reset your password.
• Your name, and optionally your rabbitry name, a short "about" description, and a profile photo — all provided by you.
• Your password — stored only as an encrypted (hashed) value. Nobody, including us, can read your password.

We also store the records you choose to enter, which may include:

• Rabbit details (names, tags, breed, colour, dates of birth, weights, cages, photos, notes, parentage)
• Mating, pregnancy and litter records
• Health and treatment records
• Tasks and reminders
• Income and expense entries you add

Why we collect it

Your records are stored so they sync to your account and are not lost if your phone is lost, broken or replaced. Your email is used for signing in and for password resets. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Where your data is stored

Your account and records are stored on servers operated by Supabase, our hosting provider. Security rules allow only your own account to read or change your data, and your data is transmitted over an encrypted connection.

Data stored on your device

The app also keeps a copy of your records on your phone so it works offline — for example in a barn with no signal. This copy is removed when you log out.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, reminders (such as pregnancy checks, nest box dates and expected births) are scheduled on your own device. These reminders are generated on your phone and are not sent from our servers.

Photos

Photos you add are resized on your device and uploaded to your account. When you replace a photo, the previous file is deleted. When you delete a rabbit, its photo is deleted.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with our hosting and email providers strictly so that the app can function, or where we are required to by law.

Your rights and choices

• Access and correct — you can view and edit your details and records in the app at any time.
• Export — you can download your rabbit records as a CSV file from the app.
• Delete — you can delete individual records in the app. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at the address below and we will do so.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, your data is removed from our systems.

Children

The app is a general-purpose tool for rabbit breeders and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Payments

The app is free. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases, and we do not collect any payment information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
